PCSX2 es un emulador de PS2 (Playstation 2) para PC. Si tienes la BIOS, ya no necesitarás la consola para jugar: PCSX2 ejecuta sin problemas más de 1.500 juegos. Eso sí, requiere un ordenador muy potente y mucha paciencia para configurar sus plugins.

En PCSX2 los juegos se cargan a través de imágenes de CD/DVD. Puedes activar trucos (trampas) y guardar el juego en cualquier momento, algo que en la consola no era posible. Si dispones de una tarjeta aceleradora de última generación y un buen procesador, el rendimiento de PCSX2 será aceptable.

Para obtener una calidad de emulación satisfactoria, con todo, conviene leerse la guía oficial de PCSX2 en español y elegir los plugins adecuados para cada juego. La configuración de los controles también es importante.
